• To support Children and Young People referred to us by NHS CAMHS eating disorder teams
  • Coordinate and deliver Body Image and self-esteem sessions in schools
  • Facilitating weekly Young People support groups
  • Provide peer support to Young People on a one to one basis
  • To raise awareness and understanding of eating disorders to reduce stigma and discrimination
  • To work in partnership with other key professionals to ensure a good quality outcome for the young person.

Liz started at First Steps mid 2017 after volunteering for EDISS during her Master's degree. Liz has an undergraduate degree in Psychology as well as a MSc in Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health, which has given her valuable insight into a variety of mental health issues.

Liz has previously supported several close friends who had suffered with eating disorders and is passionate about using her knowledge and experience to help other people. Liz is very happy to be part of such an amazing team at First Steps.
