If you do not consent to your parents being contacted, we may need to talk with you further and agree a plan. A member of the team will call you on the phone number provided to discuss the next steps to your referral. There may be times we may need to make your parents aware, depending on your age and circumstances. This will be discussed with you, wherever possible.
GDPR – Consent from Service Users
In order to provide service users (“you”) with access to our services (including, but not limited to: face-to-face counselling; video consultations; chatbot digital triage service; group support; befriending; training - skills for carers and skills for professionals), First Steps ED (“we”) collect and process the information that you submit with this form.
This information is used to both contact you initially and for internal triaging purposes Throughout your utilisation of our services, we may collect anonymised data for reporting purposes to our commissioning organisations, including Children in Need, Comic Relief, the Big Lottery Fund, NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, and NHS Mental Health Trusts, Colleges and University Student Services. You have the right to amend, remove and correct any data that we collect throughout this process.
We believe that our GDPR lawful basis for processing such personal data is one of legitimate interest and consent.
